Melissa Beoto

From Anaheim, CA. Melissa began her passion for dance at age 4 when she trained at the Blanca Luz Ballet Academy in Cypress, CA. As a preteen, she was a part of a Latin dance group “Salsa Kids” where she performed around Orange County. Furthering her dance knowledge she also received training in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Afro-Caribbean, Middle Eastern Belly dance, and Folklorico at Fullerton College. Melissa had the privilege to perform twice for the Western Regions American College Dance Festival. Wanting to deepen her knowledge and training, she transitioned to Santa Ana College where she completed her associate’s degree in dance and received her dance technique certificate. She has also had the honor of performing as a back up dancer for Spanish rock band Sonsoles in 2011. Her latest accomplishment has been to choreograph and back up dance in Jazz artist singer songwriter Nancy Sanchez music videos “Sunny Day” and “Espinoza Paz”.

After Melissa’s first class at Tone Barre, she was in love. Ecstatic at the fact that she had found a workout that felt so dance based, she immediately wondered how amazing it would be to be a part of a group of women who empower and inspire each other to be strong, fit, happy and healthy! When Melissa is not teaching she enjoys the perks of being a newlywed and traveling with her husband, cooking with her mother, dancing, hiking, taking yoga classes, and attending concerts. Melissa hopes to pursue a Pilates certification in the near future while meeting you at the barre!
